Downloading & transfer audio books to your device at the library on our Audio book kiosk located near the Reference Desk. **Note iPod users need to change your iTunes software option device to "manually manage music and video" before using the kiosk. Once transfered browse for the book by author or album title in the "Music" section of your player.

- Ebooks Readers- Compatible devices include the Sony Readers and Barnes and Noble Nook. You can also download a book to read on your computer, laptop, or netbook using the free Adobe Digital Editions software.

Use Power Search and simultaneously search this database and thousands of magazines and academic journals for articles from the General Reference Center Gold database.
- ProjectGutenberg - Download over 30,000 free ebooks to read on your PC, Kindle, Sony Reader, iPhone or other device.
- Alex Catalogue of Electronic Texts -Public domain documents from American and English literature as well as Western philosophy.
- ClassicReader - This collection currently contains over 3200 works of literature (including over 1800 short stories) by more than 320 authors.
- eScholarship Editions -University of California Press. Subjects: African studies, Classics, European history, literature, Middle Eastern studies, and South Asian studies. Text of these online books is fully searchable.
- Google Book Search -Find a specific title or many books on a topic. You can limit to full view (which lets you read the entire book) or just browse the limited preview available.
- Gutenberg Digital -Scanned images of every page of the Gottingen Gutenberg Bible.
- Internet Archive -Read digitized books from libraries across the U.S. and Canada (including the University of Chicago and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign).
