Illinois license plate sticker renewal

Avoid the DMV by renewing your Illinois license plate sticker at the Guest Services Desk for a $9.50 convenience fee plus the fee from the State of Illinois.

When you renew and you're due for a new plate, you'll get a yellow temporary sticker marked with a T to affix to the rear license plate of your vehicle.

Within 60 days you will receive your newly designed license plates in the mail with a new registration sticker already affixed to the rear plate.
