As the person our guests go to for assistance, you make sure they get what they need, providing seamless service and a wonderful user experience. You are an ambassador for the library, enthusiastically sharing with our guests all the wonderful things we offer.

A position you’ll love:
- You warmly welcome guests into our library and ensure a great experience.
- While you’re on the desk and roaming on the floor, you provide an amazing library experience to each guest:
- Helping them find the book they want.
- Assisting them with checkout services.
- Getting them the information they need.
- Providing recommendations of the books, movies, and music they’ll enjoy.
- Booking program registrations and meeting room reservations.
- Also, assisting patrons with their needs via telephone, chat, and at the drive-up window.
- You’re passionate and knowledgeable about what the library has to offer and enjoy talking to our guests about it all.
- You are skilled at easily showing our guests how they can access and use our many services themselves.
- You fill an important need by making it easy for people to get passports.
- You take pride in our library, ensuring it is clean and tidy and the display and activity areas are refreshed and looking beautiful.
- You act as a point of referral for other services at the library and connect people with the right person at the right time.
- You are comfortable learning how to troubleshoot equipment and assist in making sure basic equipment is working correctly.
- You assist with making sure our lovely building is ready to open and that it is securely closed at night.

Do you have what it takes?
- Must be a U.S. Citizen to provide needed passport services.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of experience working with the public
- Proficiency in using computers and other devices, including smartphones and tablets.
- Reliable transportation.
Physical requirements:
- Hear, speak, and listen to individuals in person and by telephone.
- Ability to use a mouse, keyboard, and computer monitor.
- Ability to move loaded carts and bins safely.
- Ability to stand up to 6 hours a day.
- Ability to walk, crouch, stoop, squat, twist, climb, and lift up to 20 pounds in a safe manner.
